A-level Sociology Teacher and RE Teacher

A large secondary school based in Greenwich are looking for an outstanding Sociology teacher who can teach up to A – Level Sociology and Religious Education up to KS4. Only strong NQTs will be considered for the A-level Sociology and KS4 Religious Education teaching role. The ideal teacher would need to be articulate and have excellent knowledge of the A-level Sociology and KS4 Religious Education subject. The position is start after Easter 2014.
This school is a large mixed comprehensive on a very pleasant green field site. Students are grouped by ability throughout the school. This provides the maximum opportunity for teachers to focus on the student’s individual needs in order to ensure progress for all. They offer a broad, comprehensive curriculum in their 6th Form which is located in a newly remodelled and separate building on the site.
The Ideal Sociology Teacher
To be considered for this post you will be an inspiring Sociology Teacher with excellent knowledge of the curriculum and must be able to Religious Education. You must have a desire to develop your teaching & be fully involved in helping the Social Sciences department achieve good results & develop the overall ability of all students. You will also be expected to have demonstrable experience in the following:
* Structured Lesson Planning
* Passionate and Dynamic
* Organisational Skills
The successful Sociology Teacher will have:
* A recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd. or equivalent)
* Ability to teach A-Level Sociology is essential
* Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions.
