Art Teacher – North West London

Contract Length: Part-Time
A leading independent secondary school based in Hampstead, North West London, are looking for a fully qualified and creative Teacher of Art to join their successful Art department on a part-time basis till the end of the academic year. The successful Art Teacher will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to teach up to KS3 – KS5 Art confidently. Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this Art Teacher job.
This is a leading independent school based in North West London. It is a high achieving academic school which caters for children aged 3 – 18 years old. It comprises three separate schools offering education to children at each stage of their development, from the age of three, until they move on to higher education. Children go through a competitive interview and assessment process for entry into the senior school and Sixth Form.
The Ideal Art Teacher
To be considered for this post you will be an enthusiastic Art Teacher with excellent knowledge of the Art curriculum at KS3 – KS5. You must have a desire to develop your teaching & be fully involved in helping the Art department achieve good results & develop the overall artistic and creative ability of all students. You will also be expected to have demonstrable experience in the following:
- Structured Lesson Planning
- Behavioural & Classroom Management
- Organisational Skills
Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this Art Teacher job.
The successful Art Teacher will have:
- A recognised Teaching Qualification (QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
- Ability to teach Art at KS3 – KS5 is essential
- Experience working in a similar setting is desirable
