Chemistry Teacher – Long Term

Location: Hampstead, North West London

A leading independent secondary school based in Hampstead, North West London, are looking for a fully qualified and inspiring Chemistry Teacher to join their successful Chemistry department on a permanent basis. The successful Chemistry Teacher will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to teach up to KS3 – KS5 Chemistry confidently. Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this Chemistry role.

The School

This is a leading independent school based in Hampstead. It is a high achieving academic school which caters for children aged 3 – 18 years old. It comprises three separate schools offering education to children at each stage of their development, from the age of three, until they move on to higher education. Children go through a competitive interview and assessment process for entry into the Senior school and Sixth Form.

The Ideal Chemistry Teacher

To be considered for this post you will be an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher with excellent knowledge of the Chemistry curriculum at KS3 – KS5. You must have a desire to develop your teaching & be fully involved in helping the Chemistry department achieve good results & develop the overall Science ability of all students. You will also be expected to have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Structured Lesson Planning
  • Behavioural & Classroom Management
  • Organisational Skills

Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this role.

The successful Chemistry Teacher will have:

  • A recognised Teaching Qualification (QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
  • Ability to teach Chemistry at KS3 – KS5 is essential
  • Experience working in a similar setting is desirable
