Job: Geography Teacher


Geography Teacher – Long Term – £140 – £160 per day

Remuneration: £140 – 160 per day

A secondary school based in East London is looking for a fully qualified and inspiring Geography Teacher to join their school. The successful Geography Teacher will have excellent Geography subject knowledge and be able to teach up to KS3 & KS5 Geography confidently. Ability to teach up to A Level Geography is essential to this Geography role. Ideally the school are looking for graduates of the Russell Group Universities but are open to all exceptional candidates. Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this Geography role.

The School

The school is a high achieving school which caters for children aged 11 – 18 years. The school has been graded an “outstanding” school in its latest Ofsted report and their GCSE results surpass national averages. Their sixth form is academically selective & opened in September 2012.

The Ideal Geography Teacher

To be considered for this post you will be a passionate Geography Teacher with excellent knowledge of the Geography curriculum at KS3 – KS5. You must have a desire to develop your teaching & be fully involved in helping the Geography department achieve good results & develop the overall ability of all students. You will also be expected to have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Structured Lesson Planning
  • Behavioural & Classroom Management
  • Organisational Skills

Only very strong NQTs will be considered for this Geography role.

The successful Geography Teacher will have:

  • A recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd. or equivalent)
  • Ideally have a degree from the Russell Group of Universities
  • Ability to teach Geography at KS3 & KS4
  • Ability to teach Geography up to KS5 is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions
